I had the incredible opportunity to help tell Leon's story on how he was able to find a church community beyond church walls. Something he desperately needed at a pivotal time in his life. You never know what may pop into your life at the exact time you need it.

I got to direct this spot in an effort to promote volunteering from anywhere in the world utilizing Elevation Church's online community. We had to make quick work of the production as we were given two hours to setup, capture, and clean up. It was a hot day, but I enjoyed leading a solid crew to create this fun spot.
This was my first time helping DP and edit a great event where high school seniors are taken on a trip to the D.C. area and are exposed to career opportunities. These are bright minded individuals who are well on track to pursue college degrees, but this opportunity allows them to see the big picture and they get to network with CEOs and other leaders in the corporate and non-profit space. Getting to know these kids was truly inspiring and I'm excited to see where they end up in life!

For a significant number of women in engineering and construction, achieving a sense of belonging and acceptance in the workplace is an ongoing journey. Even though more women work in construction today than at any time in history, the path to this point has been rocky—and, for many, it still is. The number of women employed in construction topped 1 million in May 2021, according to Bloomberg, a first since data collection began in 1964. As of July 2022, the most recent year for which data are available, women now represent 14.1% of the construction industry, an all-time high. Liz Larsen, PE, found a vibrant community within her engineering career. Her co-workers and the professional contacts she made became her primary social network, offering companionship and support. Here's her story!
